Watch the weather and watch the scratches; a scratch can potentially make the system picks meaningless; revisions are required in certain situations

New Jersey weather by the hour

A special note for my valued readers.  Friends, this has not been a productive year at all for me at the Meadowlands. Some years are like that though, so you have to keep a stiff upper lip as it were. But, rest assured that the majority of my years are winning ones at the Meadowlands. That is to say, that I have either come out ahead at the meet or broken even at this track. ( six out of eight years ) This year is very problematic, however, so keep that in mind as you bet my system. Bear in mind, however, that my system does not change; it is the other things which we have no control over that have changed, and will change.  Thanks for your understanding and Good Luck.

My system picks 5 horses in each race. The selected horses are in order of preference as you know.  However, any horse in my system can win the race. But, bear in mind that the first two picks are more important than the others, when you are not betting a lot of money, that is. For example, my standard 14 dollar bet would always show preference to the first two horses; they have to be in the money and be either first, second or third. That is how important they are. But, if you are able to wager more money then you can cover more combinations of course.  I am just trying to simplify things for you and save you money that is all.

Race 1: 1-6-3-8-7

Race 2: 4-2a-3-1-7

Race 3: 5-1a-8-6-1

Race 4: 1-2-8-9-6

Race 5: 2-1a-8-6-1-3

Race 6: 8-3-1-5-10

Race 7: 4-1-5-2-3

Race 8: 10-6-1-8-9

Race 9: 1-10-4-3-9

Race 10: 1-8-2-4-3

Race 11: 2-7-5-4-3

Race 12: 7-4-2-5-3

System Picks

Good morning friends. It is a big money day at Mohawk and there are lots of stakes races on tap for today. And, that includes the Pepsi North America Cup XXV111 Final. The  purse is $1,500,000.  Anyway, without further ado here are my system picks for all 13 races.  As you know my system picks out the best 5 horses in the race, in order of preference. When I have enough money I like to bet them all in various combinations. But, if you are on a budget or just want to take things easy, then concentrate on the horses at the top of the system. They are always the important ones anyway, especially the top two picks.

Falling in love with Mohawk

Falling in love with Mohawk

Just a special note friends.  The Meadowlands racetrack in New Jersey has been seriously underperforming for me this year, so action is required. The system seems to be working smoothly enough at Mohawk at this point in time. Now, let me assure you that is an unusual occurrence indeed. For prior to now, the system and that track did not see eye to eye at all. In fact, the system would perform miserably indeed at that venue. Well, times they do change and it looks like the system and Mohawk can do business together. The card tomorrow at Mohawk looks particularly attractive indeed. So, see you all there if you are going to try and make some dough. Good luck to all.

Friends, here are my picks for the first ten races on Saturday, February 5, 2011

Today is my birthday friends, so let's hope that something really special happens with these picks of mine

Racing Recap for February 5, 2011

.

Watch the weather and watch the scratches; a scratch can potentially make the system picks meaningless; revisions are required in certain situations

My system picks 5 horses in each race. The selected horses are in order of preference as you know.  However, any horse in my system can win the race. Race 1: 10-4-7-9-3

Race 2: 8-6-5-10-9

An alternative key bet for you: 6/9-7-2

Race 3: 7-6-2-1A-4

Race 4: 4-2-6-1-10

An alternative key bet for you: 2/4-3-1

Race 5: 8-1-2-7-6

Race 6: 2-7-4-3-8

Race 7: 4-10-9-3-7

Race 8: 1-6-3-4-9

An alternative key bet for you: 3/5-10-9

Race 9: 5-10-6-7-2

An alternative Key bet for you: 8/6-5-1

Race 10: 1A-2-4-3-1-5

Racing Recap for February 5, 2011:

I made a small profit for the day friends, about a hundred dollars or so. I mainly bet 14 dollars per race which is my standard betting practice. Here is the standard 14 dollar bet, using for example, horses 1-2-3-4-5 as my best five horses from best to worse:
Box ( 1-2-3 ) ( six dollars total for one dollar triactor key )
key: 4/1-2, 1/2-4, 5/1-2, 1/2-5 ( eight dollars total for four one dollar triactor key bets )

So, just employing the standard 14 dollar bet for the whole 13 races last night I did end up with a profit.  I did not actually bet the last race, but if I did the cost would have been 14 times 13 races = 182 dollars

I won races 4 ( 85.80 for one dollar ), and race 11 ( 224.60 for one dollar ) BTW, there were two scratches in race 11 and I had to do some last minute scrambling to satisfy myself that I was betting system numbers. My handicapping before I became aware of the scratches were:
2-5-1-8-6;
2-5-1-8-3;
and after both scratches the numbers were:
5-2-8-1-7
You will notice that no matter what I did I would have won this race utilizing the 14 dollar method.

Sometime I use the 24 dollar betting method when I am betting my system. I like to bet this amount when I am fairly confident about the numbers. Betting 24 dollars times 13 races = 312 dollars.

How would I have done if I had bet 24 dollars in every race last night?  Well, I would have won races 4 ( 85.80 ), 8 ( 113.90 ), 9 ( 35.80 ), 10 ( 39.80 ), 11 ( 224.60 ) So, the total return would have been: 499.90 minus 312 = 187.90 ( profit )

The 24 dollar method of betting involves just wagering key bets. Here is an example once again with the top five horses or  system picks:

Best five horses are 1-2-3-4-5

One dollar Keys: 1/2-3-4, ( six dollars )
2/1-3-4 ( six dollars )
3/1-2-4 ( six dollars )

4/1-2 ( two dollars )
5/1-2 ( two dollars )
1/2-5 ( two dollars )

Total equals 24 dollars, all one dollar key bets. You have to remember friends that any horse in my system can win and you have to take this feature into account when betting.

Race 3: 7-1A-3-6-4

Race 4: 8-2-5-1-9

Race 5: 3-5-6-4
Note: I am undecided on the fifth horse; it is either 8 or 1 and
it is a pure judgement call here, but at any rate the top four horses in order of preference look pretty solid here.

Race 6: 6-4-2-9-8
An alternative Key bet for you: 9/8-6-4 ( note that all numbers are system numbers anyway )

Race 7: 4-6-1-10-2
An alternative Key bet for you: 10/6-5-4

Race 8: 2-3-9-1-6

Race 9: 2-1-8-4-6
An alternative Key bet for you: 6/1-4-9

Race 10: 3-6-5-7-2
An alternative Key bet for you: 5/2-6-7 ( notice that all of the numbers are system ones )
